Cooperstown Signatures – 1 Per Box

These cards gracefully cut off the tops of guys hat logos and the blue pen makes the signatures pop on these cards. It looks like there are some photo variations too along with different serial numbers. Gary Carter for example is one player I saw with 2 different photos in the Panini Blog below. More information will be provided upon release.

The cards below are confirmed via promotional photos by Panini, but may not be released. More cards TBD Also, the serial numbers might be a parallel version or the base version. We’ll find out once the set goes live.

HOF Class (Manufactured) Patches (Retail Blaster Boxes Only)
This comes directly from Topps’ playbook for making baseball cards. Include a couple of manufactured patch cards in every box, and it seems like collectors enjoy completing an entire set. The embroidered patches features logos of the year the player was inducted to the Hall of Fame.

Cooperstown Famous Moments
This set looks like it features a picture of a famous artifact in the MLB Hall of Fame along with an autograph of the famous athlete. I’m not sure how collectors would normally feel about an autograph card without the picture of the player on the front – but these cards are interesting because they feature an artifact you don’t see unless you go to the Hall of Fame. Carl Yastrzemski was featured on the promo sheet, but was miss-spelled “Yastrzemksi”

With Honors Checklist
It’s hard to even imagine modern day athletes serving in the military. Not that LeBron James, Ray Lewis or other top athletes of the day wouldn’t make great soldiers – but today’s athletes would never give up the life of luxury for trenches and tanks. These athletes not only were heroes on the field, but they served right alongside other heroes during their day.
