Bryce Harper was the #1 overall pick in the 2010 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals but the hype surrounding this young phenom has been building for years. Sports Illustrated featured Harper on the cover of their magazine while he was still in High School, something that has rarely happened in the publications history.  Harper has all the skills you’d want, including incredible power for someone his age.

Topps included a Bryce Harper Aflac All-American Team Autograph card, serial numbered /230, in their 2010 Bowman Chrome Draft Picks & Prospects Set. Sales of the card have been hot upon release of the set on December 15th.

While I’ve heard that Harper has all the talent in the world, I’ve also heard he is quite a fan of himself, which is not uncommon for star athletes I suppose. Having success in High School and Junior College is a dime a dozen, very few players go on to reach the MLB and become stars. Prices for his Aflac Autograph are actually not all that bad considering collectors of prospects tend to go overboard when a new player hits the market. If Harper is able to go on and have a great career these cards should be worth quite a bit.
