If my memory serves me correctly, Chris Paul had an exclusive deal with Upper Deck, which is why Chris Paul doesn’t have any Topps rookie autograph cards.

Chris Paul started his career in New Orleans, where he has always been one of the top PG’s in the league. His cards have always been popular and they sell well on the secondary market. Before the shortened 2011-12 NBA season, Chris Paul was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, however the trade was vetoed by the NBA (which owned the Charlotte Hornets at the time). Paul would eventually end up in Los Angeles, only this time he teams up with Blake Griffin on the Clippers.

Going to Los Angeles should only help CP3’s cards, as he gains greater exposure in one of the world’s biggest cities. Chris Paul’s best rookie card is his Exquisite Autograph #/99. These cards are rarely sold, as many are in the hands of collectors. However, when sold – they usually draw over $1,000+ at auction. A lesser example might be his SPx Autograph #/750, which typically sells in the low $100 range … which still rates it as one of his best rookies.

The 04/05 Topps Finest card is considered an XRC. These were inserted in that years Topps Finest set, and would have been a redemption card for the 4th pick in the NBA draft. This card has many serial numbered parallel versions.

The list above are all of Chris’s main rookie cards. He has lots of parallel and insert cards from these sets as well.
