'08 UD Exquisite Football returns with a rookie class that was lead by QB's Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco. Both players performed better than most rookie quarterbacks tend to do in the NFL leading to sky-high prices for their Auto/Jersey Rookie Cards. By now Exquisite Football is known for it's Patch/Jersey Cards that give collectors some of the most unique colors and swatches available in the market.
Brand new this year were special Gold-Packs that are inserted one per box and contain 1 extra Autograph. With the SRP Price still the same as previous years, it makes 2008 an attractive choice if you are trying to choose between other years of Exquisite. As usual boxes are Hand-Collated, meaning that they are put together by actual human-hands and normally give the collector better value box-to-box. If you get a no-name Rookie Card, chances are you will get a higher end veteran autograph and vice-versa.
A popular set with Group Box Breaks, where collectors pool their money and purchase "spots" or teams for a fraction of what a full box cost. Picking teams with big name rookies (2008: Falcons, Ravens, Bears) or legendary teams: Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers, and Packers will give you a better chance at hitting a big time card. Even the base-cards of this set are extremely well collected and fetch large sums on eBay and other sites.

2007 UD Exquisite Football was treated again to a NFL Draft class full of big names. Adrian Peterson headed the class and saw his rookie cards soar in value. However Brady Quinn, JaMarcus Russell and others did not get much time on the field to show their skills, leading to large speculation in their card values. Often when some of the big-name rookies don't play you see higher values but less price movement, making box prices stable and on the high side. On paper this is a strong draft class but 3-5 years down the line it may not be as nice when the players get their time to shine.
Even with some speculation about the rookies, there are plenty of cards that feature some of the games greats. Dual and Quad Autograph had collectors striking gold when they busted their box. Large and colorful patches & swatches on the jersey cards make even a so-so player's jersey cards a prized collectible. Re-sale value of Upper Deck Exquisite cards are still some of the highest in the industry.

By the time the Patch Auto Rookie cards hit the market in early 2007, the much anticipated '06 RC class had already been a flop for the most part. Looking back now there were some possible steals as this class is a more 'late-blooming' type of draft. Vernon Davis has played well, Brandon Marshall , DeAngelo Williams and Santonio Holmes have seen large jumps in value on eBay as they have played well post RC year.
The 'Big Three' Vince Young, Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart still have plenty of time to make an impact in the NFL. Cedric Benson is proof that you can be a high draft pick and be cut...only to return to form later on in your career. These cards have slipped in value quite a bit over the years; and with football collectors focusing on 2009, 2010 and beyond you may find some good deals here.

The first Exquisite Football set to come out for Football was in 2005. The '05 Rookie class was full of QB's and RB's. Carnell "Cadillac" Williams, Ronnie Brown, Frank Gore, Cedric Benson and others were top draft picks. This set even features Maurice Clarett Jersey Patch Rookie! As for the QB's you have Aaron Rodgers, Alex Smith and Kyle Orton at the top of the class.
It seems like many of the 2005 Rookie Class has had high and low moments. Carnell Williams Exquisite Rookie cards were selling for very high prices on eBay back in the early days of the set. Ronnie Brown and Frank Gore Exquisite RC's also have had their ups and downs. Cedric Benson was out of football until the Cincinnati Bengals gave him a second chance and his Exquisite RC cards have been selling for more on eBay because of his great play.
