News In a non-sports related story, Michael Jackson has died.  He was only 50 years old.  Yao Ming has continued to suffer from a broken leg and now the injury looks like it could be career threatening. This could be a major loss for the Houston Rockets.  Blake Griffin was selected #1 overall in the NBA Draft, which was not a huge surprise to everyone.  The biggest story of the draft has been PG Ricky Rubio.  He was drafted by Minnesota, but now is telling them he may stay in Spain.  Keep a close eye on how this might turn out for Minnesota.

RC, (RC), XRC – Here are the definitions of these forms of Rookie Cards. 

      RC – made the year the player is drafted 

      (RC) – A true rookie card, example is prospect cards, mostly occurs for baseball 

      XRC – the player’s first card, it doesn’t come from a major set
