What Makes a Card Worth Millions?

Several factors determine whether a sports card will reach seven- or eight-figure prices:

1. Rarity — 1/1 cards, low serial numbers, and limited print runs drive value.

2. Condition — Higher grades (PSA 9, PSA 10, BGS 9.5) command premium prices.

3. Player Legacy — Cards of all-time greats (Jordan, LeBron, Mantle, Wagner) are worth more.

4. Provenance — Cards with famous ownership history or unique backstories sell for more.

5. Timing — Record-breaking performances and HOF inductions can spike card values.
