2009 Topps T-206 Baseball Set Review |
The 2009 Topps T206 Baseball set is a throwback to the old T206 Tobacco cards of the early 1900's. In fact, this set marks the 100 year anniversary of the 1909 set.
The base set will have 300 total cards. Much like the Topps Allen & Ginter set, the Topps T206 will include current and former MLB players. 50 Short Print base cards are also included in the set. The Sp cards will be inserted one in every four packs.
The card design is very clean and simple. The player photo stands out on the T-206 cards because of a muted background. Much like Allen & Ginter, set builders will probably enjoy putting this one together.
Any time Topps throws a vintage look out there (Heritage, Ginter) they seem to hit a winner. They look to do the same with the new edition of 2009 Topps T206.
