Topps Opens Pre-Orders for 2025 Chrome Football With April 15 Release Date
Fanatics Collectibles, the NFL, and the NFL Players Association announced Thursday that pre-orders for 2025 Topps Chrome Football are now open. The set releases on April 15 — Topps’ first fully licensed NFL product since 2016.
Hobby boxes are priced at $360 and are available on Topps.com and through authorized hobby retailers. Each hobby box includes four autographs.
The set debuts two new 1-of-1 insert programs. The first is the Rookie PREM1ERE Patch Autograph series, featuring game-worn jersey patches from 2025 NFL rookies’ actual debut games.
Players in that program include New York Giants quarterback Jaxon Dart, Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward, and New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson.

The second program, the NFL Honors Gold Shield Autograph series, uses gold shield patches worn during games by the 2024 AP award winners. That group includes MVP Josh Allen, Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley, Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels, Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II, and Defensive Rookie of the Year Jared Verse.
NFL SVP of Consumer Products Casey Collins said the league has not previously incorporated game-worn materials into its licensed trading card program at this scale.
Topps and the NFL will host a Collector Celebration Day on April 25 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, timed to the 2026 NFL Draft. The event will include athlete appearances and on-site pack openings.
Panini held the NFL’s exclusive trading card license from 2016 through March 31, 2026.
