Via The New York Times: The company that owns PSA just swallowed Beckett whole.
Collectors announced Monday it's acquiring Beckett Media—yes, THAT Beckett.
The grading company. The price guides. The magazines.
Wholesale distributor Southern Hobby was not apart of the deal.

Nat Turner
CEO Nat Turner promises Beckett will stay "independent" with its own operations and grading standards.
Turner says there won't be any pricing changes and both companies will keep operating separately.
We'll see how long that lasts.
Beckett fell out of favor with collectors shortly after the Black Label Scandal in 2019.
According to recent numbers published by Gem Rate, PSA grades over a million cards a month. Beckett often grades less than 100,000 items a month.
PSA also owns SGC which grades around 40,000 items a month.
