[SCANDAL ALERT]: Is eBay’s Big Shot Seller Rick Probstein Dealing in Phony Cards? The Curious Case of Xavier Legette’s “Authenticated” Signature!
Hold onto your collector’s hats, folks, because we’ve got a juicy story brewing in the world of sports memorabilia! Rick Probstein, a high-flying eBay Golden-Boy consignment seller, is currently under the spotlight for allegedly selling some fishy cards. And we’re not talking about your average football cards here.
Get this: A “2023 Contenders” card signed by Xavier Legette, which was “authenticated” by the big guns at PSA/DNA, is now raising some serious eyebrows.
Why?
Well, it turns out the PSA certification number (#85134846) for this supposedly legit card is actually linked to a completely different card – a Jordan Walker 2023 Bowman Sterling Autograph card.
Talk about a mix-up!
But wait, it gets juicier. This Xavier Legette card, sold on February 12th through Probstein’s Prostein123 auctions on eBay, seems to have a twin. Or maybe a triplet? This same card, with the exact same certification number, reportedly sold not once, but twice on the ultimatesportsmarketing eBay account back in December.
And here’s the kicker – ultimatesportsmarketing currently has the very same card listed for sale on eBay for a cool $99.
Coincidence? Scam? We’ll let you decide.
Something’s fishy over at Rick Probstein123 auctions – but it wouldn’t be the first time he’s been under fire for flipping fake garbage. Rick Probstein, the ball’s in your court! SCRUB!

It’s legit, there is an PSA registry entry under this number for this card. https://www.psacard.com/cert/85134846/dna. PSA is using the same numbers for different categories
