Sports Card News & Rumors I PSA I Fanatics I Panini

A few hobby nuggets....

Industry sources suggest former Sports Card Radio sponsor Southern Hobby Supply may be for sale, but potential buyer Fanatics didn't like the high price tag.

Fanatics has already "cut off" large distributor GTS, we'll see if Southern Hobby gets the boot as well.

The rumor that Panini America will be acquired by Fanatics was brought up on the DA Card World podcast where they interviewed, Leaf Trading Cards CEO Brian Gray.

Gray said of the rumor, "I'm sure there will be a deal announced with all of them at some point."

Rumor out of PSA is they lost NINE 2009-10 Topps Stephen Curry Rookie Cards from a customer's 50 card order.

The REAL "Ya Dip Daniel" spoke out, and he thinks Sports Card Radio is jealous of Vintage Breaks.

Fanatics owner Michael Rubin just bought a $70 million house in L.A. according to TMZ. He's planning on selling a lot of cards soon!

Soccer card collectors are worried a known scammer out of California is back with more counterfeit Panini stickers.

CaliCards, who recently changed their eBay user name to cardycubic, is believed to be selling fake 2000 Panini Zlatan Ibrahimovic RC stickers that have been graded by BGS. Apparently PSA is on to the scam and won't grade them.

The California seller is believed to be responsible for similar scams involving 2002 Cristiano Ronaldo and 2004 Messi stickers.

Does eBay's authenticity program need some work? A collector received this expensive Alex Rodriguez autograph card that was almost sliding out of the holder.

Hopefully things come together in the shipping department.
