Brandon Taing – Metro Sports Cards Trimming Scam

Another card trimmer has been exposed on the Blowout Forum, this time it’s Metro Sports owner Brandon Taing.

Forum user 3124508 on COMC provided evidence of several cards believed to be trimmed and showed PSA submission data that can link the cards back to Taing. 

The same technique has been used to expose card trimmers like Gary Moser.

Taing admitted the cards identified in the thread were his but denied he did the trimming. He wrote in one post defending himself, “If this does go to court I’m prepared and I hope 3125408 is also.”

Taing gave an explanation how he ends up with trimmed cards, “Some cards recycle back to me and that’s the truth while buying collection. I’m not going to remember every serial numbered cards. If a card looks good I’m going to submit for grading.”

Evidence shows some of the identified cards were purchased, before any trimming, by Taing himself on eBay. Taing admits to submitting these cards to PSA.

Facebook friends of Taing include accused sports card trimmers Kevin Burge and Will Jaimet. 

When news broke of the scandal, Taing was attending a birthday party. “I ask the Blowout community to wait before making judgement on me.”
