How much would my Chris Richard sign baseball be worth?
Thanks for the question,
I think you are referring to this Chris Richard: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Richard_%28baseball%29
Pricing anything always depends on the condition of the baseball &
signature, where Chris Richard signed, how you can prove he signed it
(Authentication) - and also who you are selling the ball to.
Considering Chris hasn't done too much in his career to set him apart
from the many players that have played the game, the value would be
small - probably around what the non-signed ball costs in a store.
That's not to say it won't have higher value in the future - as it
appears he just made it back to the MLB last season. You never know
what a player might do.
Hope that helps, best of luck with your collection.
Does it appear to you that the 2011 Topps Heritage will be drawings of the players rather than photos?
The cards look pretty cool, especially the ones with 1962 coins in them.
Question: serial-numbered cards
If a card has a serial number of, say, 20/55, does that really mean that there were only 55 of that particular card ever made?
Thank you very much,
Thanks for the e-mail and listening to the show!
Great question, in general - yes, a card #20/55 is 1 of only 55 cards made of that particular card.
There are usually things like Green, Red, Black (or similar breakdowns) of Parallel Cards that are all serial numbered to various amounts ... so in a way many cards have several variations of serial numbering...but not always.
I would say that Rookie Cards, autographs, patches/jersey cards, and very low serial number (less than about 20) cards tend to be more collectible than standard inserts/base with a serial # - however as time goes on, the mid-90's serial ## cards sell fairly well.
This question is often asked about Printing Plates, which are usually #1/1 but have 4 color variations for each card. Some collectors look at this (and spend money accordingly) as if its #1/4 - others do not.
Hope that helps, be on the lookout for the jersey number in the card - for example anything Kobe Bryant #24/xxx is sometimes more collectible as well.
Let me know if you have any further questions, best of luck in the hobby,
I am looking to sell 700 Football Card lot
Mixed lot some duplicates No sleeves some rookies cards are in Good Condition
Thanks for the e-mail. I'd try Craigslist or something like that in your area. Try to include as much detail as you can in your description - and/or lots of pictures. I personally don't collect cards myself - I just enjoy talking about them! Good luck with your sale.
Hope that helps
I am starting to become interested in this and I am a 53 year old grandmother with no knowledge…can you tell me how to redeem a code?
Thanks for the e-mail, I'm thinking you are referring to Topps Attax
or Panini Adrenalyn Football codes?
If so - you will want to create an account on these official websites:
Once you are registered there is a place on those websites where you
I hope that helps get you started. There are also packs of cards sold at Target, Wal-Mart and other similar retailers ...where you buy 1 pack for 1.00 and get 5 - 6 code cards.
Let me know if you have further questions.
