Former NFL Player Evan Mathis Accused of Card Trimming

Former NFL player Evan Mathis has been accused of trimming sports cards.

News of the scandal broke on the Blowout Forum website

Mathis is accused of selling trimmed cards through eBay consignors PWCC Marketplace, Probstein123 and COMC

Most card trimmers use PWCC, Probstein and COMC to sell their questionable inventory.

One of his old eBay accounts, cardquest12, has left buyer feedback for a paper trimmer dating back to 2017.

Several articles have been written about Mathis and his collection including:

Forbes: The Ex-NFL Star Who Sold The $2.9 Million Mickey Mantle Card Has Big Plans
USA Today: Ex-NFL lineman Evan Mathis selling prized Mickey Mantle card
Beckett: Eagles Guard Evan Mathis Shows Off His Impressive Collection

Mathis has defended himself on a now deleted Reddit thread and posted a meme of O.J. Simpson "the glove doesn't fit" on Sports Card Radio's Facebook page.

Cards trimmed include this 1971 Topps Thurman Munson.

you guys do realize there are countless amounts of issues that are deemed “hand cut” that require a blade?

certainly does not explain the munson, but a paper cutter is not the tell all – end all smoking gun. especially a $20 one.
